Young Artist Programs

The overarching goal of our Young Artist Programs is to kindle, nurture and celebrate the creative ability of San Antonio youth by providing visual arts exposure and education.  Financial contributions to these programs help to ensure accessibility for deserving children and teens throughout the greater San Antonio area.

Saturday Morning Discovery

Saturday Morning Discovery is a free, introductory art experience designed for children ages 5-17.  Sessions take place on Saturday mornings during the school year and provide family fun and learning by awakening a passion for art in children and their parents. 

The Mobile Arts Program

We take art education to the community by "mobilizing" art teachers and sending them into area schools (grades K-8), shelters, community centers, libraries, and other facilities that do not provide formalized art programs.

Scholarships for Summer Art Studios

Your scholarship gift will provide a week of specialized arts instruction for a talented, low-income youth or teen in one of more than 100 classes offered through our Summer Art Studios program.  Scholarships are valued at $400, which provides a deserving student with five (5) days of morning and afternoon classes, as well as after-care, if needed.  Thanks to the support of our generous donors, we are able to provide 100 scholarships each year. 

Teen Programs

Teen Studio Intensive is a FREE visual arts program for talented teens that meets during the school year and is focused on developing painting, drawing and multi-media skills.
