Congress Approves Permanent IRA Rollover

Good news! Congress has made permanent the opportunity for Americans age 70½ or older to make direct transfers up to $100,000 from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to The University of Texas at San Antonio.

You can designate your IRA gift to the people and programs you care most about at UTSA. You will also significantly lower or eliminate the taxable income on your mandatory IRA distribution.

Our Gift Planning team would be happy to talk with you or your adviser about this opportunity. Please get in touch with Carolyn Lowery at carolyn.lowery@utsa.edu or call (210) 458-4154 or mobile (210) 237-9527.

Instructions for transfer:

IRA rollover gifts should be made payable to The University of Texas at San Antonio and mailed/delivered to:

The University of Texas at San Antonio
Office of Gift Services
NPB 5th Floor
One UTSA Circle
San Antonio, TX 78249

Tax Identification Number for UTSA: 74-1717115

If the IRA rollover will be made using stock or other securities, please contact Charlotte Hambrick at the UT System at (512) 499-4346 for instructions.

In order for us to accurately credit you for your IRA rollover gift, please ask your IRA administrator to include your name (or the name of the account holder) and how you would like your gift to be used in the accompanying documentation.

IRS Circular 230 Notice: The University of Texas at San Antonio does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. Consequently we urge you to seek the advice of your own legal, tax, or financial professionals in connection with gift and planning matters.
