To honor the founder of UTSA’s impactful STEM-based summer program, Dr. Manuel P. Berriozábal, for his firm dedication to student success and equitable educational opportunities, the university has named the program as the Dr. Manuel P. Berriozábal Prefreshman Engineering Program.
Dr. Berriozábal spent more than 40 years enriching the university with his wealth of knowledge and created a pathway for Hispanic youth in San Antonio to participate in educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
