The College of Education and Human Development prepares transformational educators and human development professionals committed to equity and social justice who are ready to work effectively in multicultural and cross-national contexts. Comprised of six departments, the College makes a critical impact on the realization of human and community potential through its leadership in education, health and wellness, human development, and policy studies. A national and international model for academic excellence, research, and community service, the College provides a robust education for its more than 5,000 students through 13 undergraduate, 13 masters, and four doctoral degree programs. The College also offers nine graduate certificate opportunities and boasts three research centers. We are the leading provider of educators in the San Antonio area, with more than 600 students completing their teaching and professional certification programs each year.
