Giving to UTSA

Endowments

With an endowed gift, you provide a permanent stream of support for your passion at UTSA. Your gift is invested with the university of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO) and each year a distribution—like dividends on a mutual fund account—is made to your chosen program or area at UTSA. Investment earnings above the dividend rate help the endowment value grow over time, to keep pace with inflation and maintain your endowment's spending power.

Endowments provide a stable reservoir of support for any number of areas at the university, including faculty positions, program funds, scholarships, graduate fellowships and much more. There are many endowment opportunities and funding levels available at UTSA.

Student Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships

  • You can make a difference in life of a student and help UTSA to attract and recognize the best undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of their financial circumstances. The minimum gift level is $25,000 for an undergraduate scholarship and $100,000 for a graduate fellowship.

Program Endowments

  • You can choose to support excellence in any program across campus, including the department where you earned a degree or another program/research area that interests you. The minimum gift level is $10,000.

Professorships and Chairs

Professorship $250,000
Distinguished Professorship $500,000
Chair $1,000,000
Distinguished Chair $2,000,000

Endowed positions are awarded to deans, department chairs, and outstanding faculty. These endowments are crucial to the University's efforts to recruit and retain highly qualified teachers, researchers, and administrators.
